On the November 8 General Election ballot, Troutdale electors will be asked to vote for three candidates for City Council.

While the number of available positions has not changed, the process is a bit different moving forward. In the 2020 general election, Troutdale voters decided that candidates for City Council would no longer run for a specific position. Instead, all candidates will be running against all others. The three candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to fill the three open, full-term positions in each general election.

The top three finishers will serve four-year terms beginning January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2026.

This year’s candidates for City Council are:

  • GianPaolo Mammone
  • Nick Moon
  • David Ripma
  • Geoffrey Wunn

Registered voters will have the opportunity to choose three of these candidates. Information and statements from each candidate will be available in the official voter pamphlet that will be published in October.

The voter register deadline is October 18, 2022 and ballots will be mailed on October 19. Ballots may be returned by mail all the way up until Election Day as long as they are postmarked no later than November 8, 2022.  No stamp is required to return ballots.

You may also return your ballot by depositing it into the 24-hour book drop slots at any branch of the Multnomah County Library by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. The Troutdale Library is located at 2451 SW Cherry Park Road. There is also an official 24-hour Ballot Drop Box at Gresham Library, located at 385 NW Miller Avenue.
