Mayors Square

Fountain at Mayors Square

More than a decade ago, the City purchased the property on the west side of SE Dora between Columbia River Highway and SE 2nd Street with the idea of developing the parking lot into a town square. The parking lot on the upper section of the property was the site of the former police station. That building had previously been a bank and the lower section, now Mayors Square, was a paved parking lot.

In 1996, the City began work to develop a public square on the lower section of the property. The site is 7500 square feet in area. The development included walkways, open space, lighting, a fountain, structures, park furniture, litter receptacles, drinking fountains, plaques, signs, brick retaining walls, and landscaping.

Since its completion in 1996, this park has become a valued component of the Troutdale Town Center for business owners, residents, and visitors. It is a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the ambiance of downtown Troutdale.
