Several seats on the Troutdale City Council are up for election in the November 3, 2020 General Election. These seats include:
- Mayor (currently held by Casey Ryan)
- Council Position #2 (currently held by Randy Lauer)
- Council Position #4 (currently held by Glenn White)
- Council Position #6 (currently held by Zach Hudson)
Each of these non-partisan positions are four-year terms that begin on January 1, 2021 and run through December 31, 2024.
In order to qualify to run for one of these positions, you must be a registered voter who has resided in the City of Troutdale during the six months immediately preceding the election. That means that you would have to be both a resident and registered voter on or before May 3, 2020.
The filing window to submit a completed nominating petition to the City Recorder begins on June 3, 2020, and ends no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 25, 2020. A person may be a candidate for only one office during a single election.
A summary of the process and filing packets that include all forms and reference materials are available on the City’s election page. If you have any questions about the filing process or would like paper copies mailed to you, please contact City Recorder Sarah Skroch at sarah.skroch [at] troutdaleoregon.gov (sarah[dot]skroch[at]troutdaleoregon[dot]gov) or by phone at 503-674-7258.
