Parks and Building Reservations

The City has a dedicated reservation line at 503-674-7297 for picnic shelters at Glenn Otto and Columbia Parks (Imagination Station), the soccer and baseball fields at Columbia Park, and the Sam Cox Building. The reservation line is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

All reservations for the upcoming weekend must be made by Thursday morning before 10:00 a.m. and paid by noon that Thursday at City Hall.

If you call during unattended hours, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the date, time, and facility you're interested in. We'll return your call on our next open day with availability information.

For rental rates, use guidelines, and reservation forms, visit the "Parks & Facilities" section under the "Departments" tab on our website, or email us at reservations [at] troutdaleoregon.gov (reservations[at]troutdaleoregon[dot]gov).

Due to high demand, unpaid reservation holds will expire after one week and be removed from the system.

Sam Cox Building

The Great Room is available year-round for weddings, birthdays, family reunions, retirement parties, and similar events. The Annex is available for small meetings, presentations, and training sessions. The parking lot accommodates up to 100 vehicles; carpooling is encouraged, as the park serves many users.

Please note that the Recreation Program holds classes in the building year-round and has scheduling priority.
Park and Building Rules:

  • No alcohol in the park
  • No outside sales in the park
  • No flammable materials (per the Fire Marshal)
  • No alterations to rooms in the building


Great Room

2,528 sq ft | Capacity: 170 people

Included with rental:

  • 15 six-foot tables and 140 chairs
  • Professional kitchen with gas and electric stoves, refrigerator, freezer, and ice machine
  • A/V system (please request at time of reservation)
  • Stage
  • Meadow area with benches and Shelter C

Note: The open park area outside the meadow cannot be reserved.

 

Annex

960 sq ft | Capacity: 50 people

Included with rental:

  • 14-seat conference table
  • 14 executive chairs

Note: No kitchen access. Renters must supply their own A/V equipment.
