The Beaver Creek Canyon Greenway is a spectacular area within our community. The greenway is over 140 acres of natural space with a trail system connecting people to nature, parks, and neighborhoods. Access to the area is located at the trailheads located across Beaver Creek Lane from Weedin Park, near the intersection of SE Chapman Avenue and Beavercreek Lane, near the intersection of SE 11th Circle and Beavercreek Lane, and on SE Evans Ave between SE Evans Loop.

The Beaver Creek North Bridge was the only remaining pedestrian bridge to cross Beaver Creek in the canyon. The old timber span bridge was damaged in a flood event and deteriorated to the point that it was considered unsafe and had to be removed.

The city recently completed a 30% conceptual design for a replacement bridge and will be seeking Metro Local Share funding to complete the design, permitting, and construction of a new bridge. It is anticipated that bridge construction and installation will begin in 2026.
