Sunrise Park Community Garden

Plots at the Troutdale Community Garden in Sunrise City Park
UPDATE: All plots in the Community Garden have been reserved for 2024.

The Troutdale Community Garden was developed to provide an opportunity for residents to grow vegetables and flowers in a community setting. The garden is fenced to keep out animals — and non-gardening humans. The City will provide water, hoses, and all the mulch you’ll need to grow your vegetables, fruit, and flowers.

Friday, March 1 is the first day that Troutdale residents can reserve their space in the garden for 2024. Any remaining plots will be made available to non-Troutdale residents on April 1, 2024.

The cost is just $25 for your own 9' x 4' plot. Payment must be made in person at City Hall and there is a limit of 1 plot per household until April 1 when unreserved plots will also be made available to non-Troutdale residents. There are only 19 plots and it's first come, first served, so don’t miss out!

Information and registration packets will be available at City Hall. If you have any questions, please call Pepper Ann McAllister at 503-674-7225. We also have a list of other community gardens and farms in East Multnomah County.

The Sunrise Park Community Garden is a project of the Citizens Advisory Committee.

Key dates:

  • March 1: Registration begins for Troutdale residents only
  • April 1: Unreserved plots will be made available to non-Troutdale residents
  • April 1: Water turned on for gardeners
  • November 1: Water turned off
