College Nature Park in Troutdale is a quiet, 62-acre space next to Mt. Hood Community College, popular for its walking trails and connection to Beaver Creek. One of its most notable features is a historic Copper Beech tree. This well-known local landmark that stands inside the park was originally planted around 1885.

In the fall, the park’s mix of maples, cottonwoods, and other deciduous trees puts on a subtle but striking display. Leaves turn shades of yellow, orange, and red, especially along the creek and wooded areas, making it a solid spot for a short seasonal walk or casual photography.
