One of our favorite summer events is coming back to Troutdale this summer! Troutdale Recreation is thrilled to announce the lineup for this year's Movies in the Park series! These community events take place at at the little league field adjacent to Imagination Station and are FREE and open to the public. This year we will be showing one film in June and double features in July and August.
Friday, June 20
7:30pm: Wicked - 2024 (PG - 160min)
Friday, July 25
6:30pm: Star Wars: A New Hope - 1977 (PG - 121min)
8:30pm: Star Trek - 2009 (PG-13 - 127min)
Friday, August 15
6:30pm: A Minecraft Movie - 2025 (PG - 101min)
8:30pm: Ghostbusters - 1984 (PG - 105min)
If you have not previously attended Movies in the Park in Troutdale, it is a special experience. Rather than needing to wait until dusk to project the films on a traditional big screen, we install a giant LED video wall. So even though there’s still daylight when the show begins, you will not have any problems enjoying the wonderfully sharp picture under the late-evening sun.
Of course, what’s a movie night without snacks? In addition to FREE popcorn, we will be welcoming several vendors who will be selling a variety of food options right next to the viewing area. You can also bring your own picnic to enjoy on the field!
The gates to the field will open at 5:30pm each evening. You will want to bring a blanket or low-back camping chairs. If your chairs are a higher profile, we ask that you take a spot toward the back so everyone can see. The viewing location on the little league ball field should be fully shaded at showtime. Please leave your pets at home and remember that alcoholic beverages, smoking, and vaping are prohibited in Troutdale city parks.
Please note that the event may be postponed due to unsafe weather conditions, but a little rain or a 90-degree day won’t stop us! Stay tuned for updates and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
