Budget Committee

  • As required by Oregon Local Budget Law (ORS 294.305-565) the Budget Committee consists of Mayor, City Council and electors who serve staggered 3-year term. 
  • The Committee meets 2 or 3 times April and in early December, for a mid-fiscal year work session.
  • In April the Budget Committee receives the City Manager’s “Proposed Budget” and after review may amend the Proposed Budget.
  • The Committee must forward a “Budget Committee Approved Budget” to the City Council for a public hearing and budget adoption prior to June 30.
