I’ve spent my life in the Pacific Northwest—growing up in Spokane, then moving to Seattle to pursue a degree in Art. But as Seattle became more and more unaffordable, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and pursued a career in nursing at OHSU, where I met my wife, Annie.
We spent ten years in La Grande, earning our nursing degrees and working at Grande Ronde Hospital. It was a wonderful, tight-knit community, but when our children were born, we knew we needed to be closer to family. So we moved west, settled in Multnomah County, and found our forever home right here in Troutdale.
For the past seven years, I’ve worked in the Operating Room at Providence Portland, while Annie has served on the front lines in the Emergency Department through the COVID pandemic and now works in the Endoscopy Department at Legacy Mt. Hood.
Troutdale is everything we could want for our family. It’s a place where neighbors look out for each other, where our kids—now 8 and 10—can play sports, run through the parks, and just be kids. It’s a community that reflects our values—hard work, kindness, and a deep love for the outdoors.
As a father, husband, and public servant, I’m committed to keeping Troutdale a safe, beautiful place to raise a family. That means protecting our green spaces, preserving the unique character of our town, and ensuring it remains a welcoming home for all.
It’s an honor to serve this community, and I thank you for your trust and support. Together, we can protect what makes Troutdale special and build a future that our children—and their children—will be proud of.
