The First Friday street fair will return in June 2025.
Troutdale’s First Friday Art Walk & Summer Street Fair is fun for the whole family and showcases the West Columbia River Gorge’s vibrant art scene. The summer street fair expands the monthly First Friday event into Historic Columbia River Highway, with more than 80 vendors, sidewalk dining, local beers, live music at Mayors Square, a Kid Zone, and much more!
In 2024, the First Friday Art Walk street fairs will take place on June 7, July 5, August 2, and September 6. Each event runs from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

During our First Friday events in the summer months, we close Historic Columbia River Highway for several blocks in downtown Troutdale to bring in more than 80 local artists and artisans to line the street! Among the booths you'll find local handmade jewelry, custom woodworking designs, art prints and paintings, artisan food goods, needlework and quilting products, home and kitchen goods, clothing, candles, and so much more!

Each First Friday Art Walk features a live musical performance at Mayors Square from 5 – 8pm. You will also be able to find a variety of musicians playing in different parts of downtown throughout the event.

First Friday is an event for the whole family and kids will love heading to the Kid Zone - right next to Mayors Square on Dora Ave. The Kid Zone is hosted by Troutdale Recreation staff and is the perfect place for kids of all ages to enjoy a summer evening with games, chalk art, bubbles, and plenty of other fun options.
In addition, the following organizations will bring their own activities to the Kid Zone! Please note that while many of the activities at the Kid Zone are free of charge, some of the businesses do a charge a fee for their services.

Since Historic Columbia River Highway closes to vehicular traffic at 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event, parking will be a bit challenging in downtown Troutdale. A limited number of parking spots are available on the side streets as well as in the lots on Kibling Street, above Mayors Square, and behind the north side of Historic Columbia River Highway. You can also take advantage of overflow parking lots at:

Temporary accessible parking is available and marked with traffic cones in the lot between Dora and Harlow above the Discovery Blocks building. Enter through the Mayors Square parking lot off Buxton and a staff member will guide you to a space. You must have a disabled parking placard to park in those spaces.
Sasquatch Shuttle will provide regular FREE shuttle service to the Gateway to the Gorge Visitor Center on the east edge of downtown from the parking lots at the Columbia Gorge Outlets and Troutdale Art Center. Shuttle service will begin at 5:00 p.m. and should arrive every 15-20 minutes. The shuttle will make its last run from the visitor center at 8:30 p.m.
Please note that Harvest Christian Church, McMenamins Edgefield, and the former overflow lot adjacent to the Troutdale Community Police Center (near SW 2nd St. and Kendall Ave.) are no longer available for parking or as shuttle stops.
