Troutdale’s First Friday Street Fair is fun for the whole family and showcases the West Columbia River Gorge’s vibrant art and maker scene. The summer street fair expands the monthly First Friday event into Historic Columbia River Highway, with more than 80 vendors, sidewalk dining, local beers, live music at Mayors Square, kids' activities, and much more!
Starting in August we are excited to announce the opening of Harlow Yard, the newly beautified lot at Harlow and Historic Columbia River Highway. It will play host to live music, a couple of vendors, and public toilets.
In 2026, the First Friday Street Fairs will take place on June 5, August 7, and September 4. There is no July First Friday due to Independence Day weekend. Each event runs from 5:00 p.m. until sunset.
Downtown Troutdale is home to numerous shops, boutiques, and salons who are open for business during First Fridays! As you stroll down Historic Columbia River Highway during the event, be sure to stop in and check out everything they have to offer.

During our First Friday events in the summer months, we close Historic Columbia River Highway for several blocks in downtown Troutdale to bring in more than 80 local artists and artisans to line the street! Among the booths you'll find local handmade jewelry, custom woodworking designs, art prints and paintings, artisan food goods, needlework and quilting products, home and kitchen goods, clothing, candles, and so much more!

Each First Friday Street Fair features a live musical performance at Mayors Square from 5:00 p.m. until sunset! FOr August there will be an additional bands at other locations including the newly beautified Harlow Yard at Harlow and Historic Columbia River Highway:

Since Historic Columbia River Highway closes to vehicular traffic at 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event, parking will be a bit challenging in downtown Troutdale. A limited number of parking spots are available on the side streets as well as in the public lots on Kibling Street, above Mayors Square, and behind the north side of Historic Columbia River Highway. Sasquatch Shuttle will provide regular FREE shuttle service from the following locations:
- Columbia Gorge Outlets - 450 NW 257th Way
- Gateway to the Gorge Visitor Center - 475 E Historic Columbia River Hwy
- Troutdale Art Center - 903 E Historic Columbia River Hwy
Shuttle service will begin at 4:30 p.m. and should arrive every 20-25 minutes. The shuttle will make its last run from the visitor center at 9:30 p.m. The road will reopen to vehicular traffic at 10:30 p.m.
Temporary accessible parking is available and marked with traffic cones in the lot between Dora and Harlow above the Discovery Blocks building. Enter through the Mayors Square parking lot off Buxton and a staff member will guide you to a space. You must have a disabled parking placard to park in those spaces.
