As you enjoy the festivities at Troutdale’s Tree Lighting, consider bringing a donation to support SnowCap Community Services. This vital organization provides food, clothing, advocacy, and other essential services to neighbors in need.
SnowCap welcomes donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items, especially high-protein options like tuna or chicken. Hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products are also greatly appreciated. Small toys and warm winter clothing, including coats, hats, gloves, and scarves, are in high demand during the colder months. For those who wish to make a cash contribution, monetary donations are always welcome and go a long way in keeping their pantry shelves stocked.
SnowCap is currently serving over 15,000 individuals in East Multnomah County every month, a number that has more than tripled in just two years. The Tree Lighting event is part of their Fill-a-Bag campaign, which aims to stock their pantry shelves through the first quarter of 2025.
Every donation, whether it’s an item or a dollar, makes a real difference for someone in our community. Together, we can help ensure that no one goes without during the winter months.
