Join us Thursday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m., for a fun and scenic community walk along the Troutdale Sandy River! We’ll explore the beautiful new Sharon Nesbit Heritage Park before continuing onto the Ch’ak Ch’ak Trail, Troutdale’s exciting new extension of the 40-Mile Loop shared-use path. Frank Stevens, Troutdale resident & member of Friends of the Ch’ak Ch’ak Trail, will be joining us to help lead the discussions!
Highlights include:
- Wildlife spotting (Eagles & Ospreys!)
- Views of planes taking off at Troutdale Airport
- Local history & stories of the Sandy River
The Ch’ak Ch’ak Trail (meaning "Bald Eagle" in Chinuk Wawa) was officially dedicated in October 2023, and we’re excited to explore it together!
Bring your family, friends, strollers, and leashed pups. Wear comfy shoes and pack some water. Meet at the Gateway to the Gorge Visitor Center (475 East Historic Columbia River Highway)
This walk will happen rain or shine — and everyone is welcome!
