Multnomah County Seeks Community Input on Federal Grant Priorities
Multnomah County is asking residents to help determine how federal grant funding designated for the area will be spent over the next five years. The funding is intended to support housing, services, and community programs, and county officials are seeking public input to ensure resources are directed where they are needed most.
Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts on community needs, which may include affordable housing, small business assistance, community centers, or other priorities. The survey takes only a few minutes to complete, and residents are encouraged to share it with neighbors and friends.
New Parking Permit Requirements Now in Effect at Two Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls
Visitors planning to drive to Columbia River Gorge waterfalls should be aware of expanded parking permit requirements now in effect. As of March 30, 2026, Oregon State Parks extended fees to 22 additional sites, including Bridal Veil Falls State Scenic Viewpoint and the Latourell Falls Trailhead at Guy Talbot State Park.
This follows an initial round of fees that took effect October 1, 2025, which included two nearby sites: Lewis & Clark State Recreation Site and Crown Point State Scenic Corridor and Vista House.
Permit Fees
- $10 per day for Oregon residents
- $12 per day for out-of-state visitors
Exemptions
The fee does not apply to visitors arriving on foot, by bike, or via public transportation, or to those with a valid camping reservation hangtag or an active 12- or 24-month parking permit.
A daily permit covers the entire day, so visitors may travel between fee sites without purchasing an additional permit.
