Troutdale City Council has a vacancy for a partial term to expire on December 31, 2026. To hold the seat on the council beyond 2 years, you must stand for election at the November 2026 General Election.
To qualify to run for Troutdale City Council, you must be a registered voter who has resided in the City of Troutdale during the 6 months immediately preceding application submittal. You can download the application form or pick one up at City Hall.
The City Council will be accepting applications through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31. All applications need to be submitted to Sarah Skroch, City Recorder by emailing the completed application form to sarah.skroch [at] troutdaleoregon.gov (sarah[dot]skroch[at]troutdaleoregon[dot]gov), or via hand delivery to City Hall at 219 E. Historic Columbia River Highway.
Submitted applications will be sent to the City Council and available to the public on February 6. Interviews are anticipated to be held on the evening of Tuesday, February 11. The council will then discuss and fill the vacancy. The selected candidate will be sworn in and seated at the City Council meeting on February 25.
