March 20 Statement from Mayor Casey Ryan

Statement from Mayor Casey Ryan:

Hello Troutdale,

As we struggle through this unparalleled challenging time I ask that we all follow the guidelines set out by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Leave your house only if it is completely necessary. In the case that you need to leave your house practice social distancing (6 feet) from another person. Do not have any more than 10 people gathered together at any one time. Wash your hands every time they come in contact with a foreign surface and refrain from touching your face.

It is each of our responsibility to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and each of these  simple suggestions will go a long way.

To reiterate, please do not leave your house unless it is a necessity! It is imperative that we slow down the spread of the virus so it does not overwhelm our health care system.

I understand these times are hard and that it is scary to many. We will get through this but it will take a tremendous effort from all of us to temporarily change the way we live our lives. Every action you take to stop the spread of the virus will go a long ways in helping you and your fellow citizens to not get affected.

To the folks who are out of work or your businesses have been shut down, I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. There will be better times ahead!

God Bless you all!

Mayor Casey Ryan
