To the residents of Troutdale,
I know that the governor’s decision to not allow Multnomah County to reopen to Phase 1 was disappointing to many of our residents and businesses. I am also disappointed and frustrated with the decision. But the blame not only falls on the governor, but the County Board of Commissioners as well. It was Multnomah County who waited so long to even apply for Phase 1.
As much as I wish I had the power to help our City open up sooner, I do not have that authority. I also cannot in good conscience encourage anyone to violate the governor’s order. The City of Troutdale has come a long way over the last few years as a city that has an independent spirit, but is also a good member of the overall metro community.
We will get through this together.
