Welcome! Our department's mission is to foster community visions, develop opportunities, and maintain safe environments for the betterment of Troutdale. We pursue this mission through the work of our four divisions:
- Building, which oversees construction activity and assures a safe built environment.
- Planning, which reviews land use applications and gives guidance for long-range growth.
- Economic & Tourism Development, which offers business support and tourism promotion.
- Code Compliance, which ensures the general welfare through outreach and enforcement.
The department also provides staff support for several of Troutdale's citizen boards and the city's collective efforts in developing its urban renewal area.
