The Community Development Department’s Building Division ensures compliance with building codes and to help foster a built environment that is healthy, sanitary, and safe. Our responsibilities include:
- reviewing construction drawings & related files for compliance
- issuing building permits for residential and commercial construction
- inspecting construction work on sites for consistency
- reporting construction activity to relevant agencies
For several types of plan reviews and inspections, we are supported by staff from the City of Gresham.
