The Community Development Department's Code Compliance Division is responsible for promoting, upholding, and enforcing the codes and ordinances of the City of Troutdale.
Services provided by the division include:
- Investigating potential code issues that stem from complaints, tips, or observations
- Encouraging voluntary pathways to code compliance before enforcement actions are required
- Preparing courtesy notices, warning notices, citations, and trial documents when necessary
- Educating the public on code provisions and how they relate to livability
We work in tandem with other divisions in our department, other City departments, and outside agencies to help ensure the livability of our community. Legally, we are a separate unit from Troutdale's Municipal Court.
