The City is currently in design for this year’s round of ADA curb ramp improvements throughout the City. Every other year the City selects a portion of the existing noncompliant curb ramps and improves them to comply with today’s ADA standards. This is an important task as all routes and facilities throughout the City should be just as accessible to those with disabilities as it is to those who do not. The ADA curb ramps selected are based on future paving projects that require the ADA curb ramps to be improved as a prerequisite, and by the City’s ADA transition plan which ranks ADA curb ramps on priority.
