Sunrise Park is a 15.76 acre park located between Hensley Road and 21st Street. The site is bordered by residential developments on all sides and access can be had off Hensley road on the west and 21st Street on the east. Currently, the park is undeveloped and contains a small pond which provides habitat for a variety of land and water animals. There is currently a ½ mile trail/jogging path. The City of Troutdale is preparing to upgrade the current 10’ wide gravel trail/jogging pathway. This upgrade will overlay 2” of impervious asphaltic concrete (AC) over the current path. The goal of this project is to provide a wider range of access to the park for citizens who have accessibility/mobility issues. Funding for this project was obtained through the Troutdale Community Enhancement Program (“Trash to Cash”).
