County crews will apply new lane striping on Historic Columbia River Highway near Buxton Road.

Multnomah County road maintenance plans to apply new lane striping on Historic Columbia River Highway near Buxton Road the week of September 30, 2019. The new striping is designed to improve safety and turn movements.

Crews will create a new right-turn only lane from eastbound HCRH to Buxton Road. In addition they will be painting a bike lane between the new right-turn lane and the eastbound through lane.

You can see what the striping plan will look like in the map below.

County crews plan to remove the old striping and apply the new striping on Monday, September  30 and Tuesday, October 1, if an additional day is needed. One lane and on-street parking will be closed in the work zone, between 257th Drive and the block between Buxton and Dora Road. Flaggers will direct traffic on one open lane. Drivers should expect delays during the work.

Please note that this work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled in the event of heavy rain.
